We collect the following when you use ScratchVoice:

Account information: your name and email address when you register.
Payment information: billing is handled securely by PayFast. We do not store your card details.
Usage data: scripts you submit for voiceover generation, generation count, and plan status.
Technical data: browser type, IP address, and pages visited, collected automatically via standard server logs.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the ScratchVoice service.
To process payments and manage your subscription.
To send transactional emails (receipts, account notices).
To improve our service and fix technical issues.
To comply with legal obligations.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your account data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). Payment processing is handled by PayFast, which is PCI DSS compliant. We apply industry-standard security measures to protect your data.

5. Sharing of Data

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

PayFast — to process subscription payments.
ElevenLabs — your script text is sent to their API to generate audio. No personal identifying information is included.
Supabase — for database and authentication services.
Netlify — for hosting and serverless functions.

6. Cookies

We use essential session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@scratchvoice.co.za. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days except where retention is required by law.

ScratchVoice is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
